In the role of Art Director I worked with the Editor to coordinate editorial with new design elements weekly. Daily projects included concepting cover designs, sometimes comissioning illustrations from professional illustrators, and working with editorial staff to design and setup new character/paragraph styles for music, news, art, food, and film sections. The paper went to print weekly with the addition of several special issues throughout the year. This postion required me to work under consistent tight deadlines. I also worked with marketing teams to design new logos for events and marketing collateral that would be used in print and social media to promote events.
